“Quality is not an act, it is a habit.”

Max’s practice focuses primarily on real estate, corporate, commercial lending, and finance transactions.

His real estate practice consists of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing of all types of commercial real estate, including micro hospitals, condominium projects, office buildings, retail shopping centers, industrial developments, and unimproved property.  Max’s representative real estate transactions include the representation of various hospital tenants in build-to-suit lease transactions, a national restaurant chain in various acquisition and leasing transactions, and borrowers in connection with loans secured by real property and commercial developments.

In Max’s corporate practice, he regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, business organization, entity creation, and other general corporate matters.  Max’s representative corporate transactions include the representation of a seller in connection with the sale of a turnaround and construction-related service business, a seller in connection with the disposition of assets of an oil country tubular goods provider, and a buyer acquiring the operating assets of a specialty welding, fabrication, and construction service provider.

In the course of Max’s commercial lending and finance engagements, he routinely represents national and regional lenders on a wide range of matters, including construction and acquisition real estate loans, aircraft financing, asset-based loans, loans to not-for-profit institutions, energy sector lending, and representations of agent banks in syndicated credit facilities.

Prior to joining the Firm, Max worked in the equity capital markets section of one of Singapore’s leading law firms, representing clients in connection with proposed initial public offerings (IPOs) in Singapore and around Southeast Asia. Max’s international experience gives him a unique perspective for advising clients with local and global business objectives.

Away from the office, Max spends his time with his family, traveling, and playing basketball.
