Biography

Matt Davis is a pragmatic litigator and a proven advocate for his clients. Matt’s practice focuses on complex business and commercial litigation, and he has represented clients in a variety of matters including complex partnership disputes, oil and gas litigation, breaches of contract, construction defect claims, employment litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, and insider-trading allegations.

While in law school, Matt interned for Judge Jennifer W. Elrod of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Justice Brett Busby of the Texas Court of Appeals, Fourteenth District, Judge Vanessa Gilmore of the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, and Judge Sylvia Matthews of the 281st Harris County Civil District Court.

During law school, Matt also served as a member of the South Texas Law Review and the Board of Advocates.  In addition, Matt was a member of the nationally recognized South Texas College of Law Mock Trial program, representing the law school around the country.
